Sony PS4 fans have been spoilt for choice this year with not one, but two exceptional PlayStation 4 exclusives.

Firstly with the God of War reboot at the start of the year and more recently with the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man, which has also just launched a new slice of DLC.

But the time has come for Sony to start planning further afield and that’s what the company has started to do in recent weeks.

In fact, one particular PS4 exclusive you might have forgotten about, Medievil Remastered, is supposedly set to reveal some new news in the coming weeks.

Which, given we’ve heard absolutely nothing in almost a year since it was first announced is a pretty big deal.

Speaking on the latest PlayStation Blogcast, social media director Sid Shuman said he had it on “excellent authority” that SIE Worldwide Studios boss Shawn Layden would provide an update on the game soon.

“He’s very excited to give everybody a big update on Medievil,” Shuman said. “He’s going to be on the [PlayStation Blogcast] in the next week or so, and give us all an update on that.”

Looking further afield and PS4 owners were dealt something of a blow as another PS4 first-party game, Days Gone, had been pushed back from February 22 2019 to April 26 2019.

Supposedly, developers Bend Studio will use the additional time to add some extra polish to the game.”We want to share a change in release date for this highly anticipated title from Bend Studio,” read the Sony blog post. “We recently decided to move the release of Days Gone from the crowded February timeframe to 26th April 2019.

“While the studio is eager to see Days Gone in the hands of fans, Bend Studio will take the opportunity to further polish Days Gone.”

If we’re being brutally honest, we think the delay will end up being a major win for Sony. Previews some months back for the game, both from ourselves and others, had described gameplay as being a little janky now and again.

Coupled with the game having a release date that clashed with the likes of Anthem, Crackdown 3 and Metro Exodus – all slated for February 22 – and we think the new release date for the game will significantly benefit Days Gone.
